Just right click on epicgameslauncher.exe and run it as administrator and it will work :), It worked for me try it out.

I did it this way by chance to be honest :
I clicked uninstall unreal engine than don’t let it uninstall and after some seconds cancel the uninstall
and then you will see repair appeared on the button just repair and re-update
