Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Incorrect Shading of Modular Assets

Can anyone explain why this happens with my modular assets? As you can see the shadows themselves are fine, it's the indirect lighting of each piece I've tried changing to a high light-map resolution, manual light-maps, smoothing groups, movable skylight and making the asset movable. Nothing gives me different results. If anyone could explain this, that would be great!

Hi!

As far as I know Unreal calculates the indirect lighting by asset and not the whole scene together! If you leave your indirect lighting smoothness "high" you will see the differences more... If you lower the indirect lighting scale to 0.1 and smoothness to 0.6 you should get rid of those!
