Skylight casting weird lighting on objects

Hi, I am doing an interior scene and some of the objects in scene have weird lighting, one side of these objects is lit up for no reason. it disappears when i switch off the skylight. as you can see in the image the picture frame has washed up light on one side. I have an outer shell geometry for the whole project so it cannot be light leak, the object uvs are fine as well.

Maybe you got some errors when you were importing your meshes… try to turn off use mikktspace in the object properties!

What I did was I edited the normals on the geometry in 3ds max and then reimported, that fixed the problem. thanks for your help makigirl.
