Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Question regarding the release form and DLC.

Getting near releasing a game on steam that is free but has a 2 euro DLC.

In the "Notification of UE4 Project Release Form" they ask "Will your product contain In-App Purchases?*"

Is steam DLC concidered an in-app purchase and if not do I have to make another release form for the cosmetic DLC?

Lastly does the 5% royalty fee apply if I get less than 3000 dollars quarterly? I've seen conflicting statements.

Thanks a lot for you answers beforehand.

1 answer: sort voted first

You only need to fill out one release form for each individual game you create and sale in UE4. A separate release form is not needed for each individual DLC within one game.

For royalty calculation, you would add all in-app sales for the given quarter, for each game you are selling. For example, if you have one game with 5 different DLC's within that game, you would add the revenue from all 5 DLC's to determine total gross revenue for the quarter.

If you're total gross sales for an individual game, including all DLC sales within that game, is less than $3,000 in a quarter, no royalty is due. Royalty is only calculated on gross sales over $3,000 in any given quarter.
