Basic Animation Play and Stop

Hi All,

I have a scene in 3Ds max that has very basic keyframed animations in it. Its things like, doors opening and closing, draws opening etc etc. I can export these objects as FBX and import them into UE4 with no problems, but then i get two different imports.

One is the static mesh and the other is the baked animation playing on a loop. Firstly, i dont know which one im supposed to use in my scene, put simply I just want import it in, and have a level blueprint mapped to a key which will enable the animation, then stop the animation and reverse it.

Apologies for knowing ABSOLUETLY nothing about the animaion process for UE4, I’m much more of a rendering CGI kinda guy. So any info on the skeletons that import and anything else would be greatly appreciated.
