How to increase ambient/shadow lighting?

How do I increase the ambient light in a scene in shadows?

Basically, I have an indoor scene with only a few lights. The shadow areas are black.

How do I make the shadows lighter so that they aren’t pure black?

I have both, but mainly static lights.

So if you have static lights in your scene you can have (realistic) GI… if you want to make your shadows brighter I would set the number of light bounces higher (3 <10) and would use a postprocess volume to adjust exposure…
If you don’t need realistic result you can drop anothe light into your scene without casting shadows to get a dake ambient lighting…
