Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How to create sliding in First Person CPP Project (UE 4.18)


I'm still kind of new to Unreal, so bear with me please. I'm trying to create a sliding mechanic in my game, a First Person Shooter C++ project. I have the Crouching and Sprinting working 100% perfectly fine and I've made it to where I can "slide", as in crouch my character and launch him in the direction that he's sprinting in.

The issue is that after the slide is complete, and the character is crouched, he doesn't retain the slower movement that crouching normally does. Like I crouch, he moves slowly (200 speed), I slide, he can still move at regular speed (500) despite still being crouched at the end of the slide.

I'll attach both my blueprint setups for the sprint and crouching. I only added the "isSprinting" and "isSliding" bools which made the whole action a lot smoother but still not functioning how I would like it. I appreciate any help on the matter.
