Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Type of license for Epic Games free projects

Hi. I'm working on an Architecture project. Since it's quite difficult to find good forniture for my building, I thought about using the assets in "RealisticRendering", the free example project by Epic Games. What kind of licence does the project have? Can I put that in my app anche distribute it for free with or without attributing the assets to Epic games?

In general what I have to do to legally publish my app without messing up with epic games?

1 answer: sort voted first

You can use the free assets in Epic sample/starter kits in your compiled apps without specific attribution as to the assets. And if your app is truly free, there is no royalty to Epic.

The EULA is the official document - https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/eula

Another question. Why would I want to use Unreal Trademark on my project like a start up logo with my project one? Are there advantages, or is it just an acknowledgment of the engine?

It's up to you ultimately (assuming you submit the trademark license). I think done want to acknowledge the engine, and others view it as a mark of quality.
