Character Dash with animation?

I am trying to recreate Shinbi short range dash, and it seems I am having some issues with recreating the movement that happens along with animation.

As seen here [here][1] she appears to change positions as the animation is being played. When I try to recreate this, what I am getting is the player is moving, then the animation seems to play. An example can be seen [here][2].

One issue might be she is just not moving far enough, but that in its self is an issue to since I set “Launch Character” to 6000 times the forward vector. Either way, does anyone have any advice or know what I can do to better recreate that dash ability?

Since you’re only interested in moving forwards, perhaps you could drag off “Character Movement” and then "Set Ground Friction to 0 (and after a delay back to 8), that might help with the distance.
