In the UE4 editor content browser, assets always pre-load when clicked; is there a way to prevent this?

In more detail, I acquired the Epic Games Paragon:Agora and Monolith pack and added it to a project to have a look at the assets; I like the meshes and want to export them and am doing so now via bulk export, but this is going to be a long process if it has to pre-load all the selected meshes (and their materials and textures, that I won’t be using).

Is there a way to prevent the loading of the materials for this purpose?

But in general it would be good if an asset didn’t get pre-loaded each time I click on it on the content browser, is there any way to disable this default behaviour for the editor? I haven’t found it, if it exists.
