UE4 Crashes on startup post client update

Hi everyone, my game project will not load after recently updating the epic games client. It will load up to about 55% then the windows crash dialog will appear. What’s funny is even after clicking “close program” it will remain in the task manager consuming CPU.

I checked the windows crash log but it isn’t very helpful and says “ucrtbase.dll” is the fault module which does not clear up anything for me. Can someone please lend a hand, I can pastebin the crash .log file and upload the minidump if this will provide any more info.

I am running UE4 and the epic client on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version. The epic client is version 7.6.0 and my project is version 4.17. Thanks.

Nvm, solved it by renaming the plugins directory. Please close this thread, sorry for the time waster.
