Changing "world to meters" still broken when having active tabs in editor

As of 4.18 a bug was introduced that breaks the “World to Meters”-setting while playing in editor and having any editor tab active (blueprint, mesh, material, cascade etc.) other than the viewport and interface.

You can bypass this by closing all the tabs every time you want to test the game. But that really breaks the flow, having to reopen all tabs after playing. Very tedious when you want to test a setting, close, test, open, change setting, close, test…

This bug has been described before:

I also think it has been marked as resolved somewhere for 4.19

To reproduce:

  1. Create a new project with VR-template
  2. Open either HMDLocomotionMap or MotionControllerMap
  3. Change “World to Meters” to something other than 100 (go with 400 for obvious effect)
  4. Open up random blueprint
  5. Test the game with VR Preview

Not sure how to describe the bug other than that the camera appears offset, or that the camera renders in an other scale than the camera moves.

I had hoped for this to be fixed for 4.19 since we have built our game around the feature of scaling the player. And I am getting tired of reopening blueprints and assets every time
