I'm trying to download the epic games launcher on my mac and when i do try it says downloading updates and when it is done it disappears and does the whole thing again!

please help me i try to download the epic games launcher app and whenever i do it says downloading updates and disappears.I try it again it does the exact same thing again and again everything i click it and it says crashed sometimes
