Hi,
I tried to set up a local perforce server with the newest perforce version and UE4.19.
Everything works fine, until I have to select the workspace in UnrealEngine.
- Installed helix-versioning-engine, only the Server (P4D)
- Changed the path manually to E:\Perforce\Server, since E:\ has the most free space and I don’t want to use an SSD for this
- Installed Helix Core Apps, but only Helix Visual Client (P4V) and Administration Tool (P4Admin) and “continued without DVCS”
- Also changed the path again, to E:\Perforce\
- Tried to set up a Remote Server on my own Computer (local)
- Created a new user for that, with Name, email etc. without password
- Created a new workspace (Workspace name: UE4_Work, Workspace root: E:\UE4_Sync
- Added a test project, called FPStuff to the server (created a first-person shooter in UE4, saved it immediately and uploaded it, used classic depot)
- Finally, I tried to connect via UE4-Editor to Perforce, but somehow no workspace is found
Hopefully someone knows how to set a local perforce server up, since every tutorial I found, was outdated or didn’t work.
