Just got in a new PC so this is a fresh install of Windows 10. I cannot install the Epic Games Launcher, it failed when trying to install prerequisites. Link to screenshots of failures: Imgur: The magic of the Internet
Here is a list of everything I have tried:
- Manually install of prereqs in this article http://fortnitehelp.epicgames.com/customer/portal/articles/2289966-prerequisites-have-failed-to-install-when-installing-the-epic-games-launcher
- Updated Windows to the latest version
- Reset the Windows Installer service
- Grant Full Control permission to all user accounts and System account
- Try installing on both C: system drive and D: storage drive
- Manually run the “LauncherPrereqSetup_x64.exe” at “D:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\SelfUpdateStaging\Install\Portal\Extras\Redist”
- Restart the computer
I have run out of options to try. I even grabbed the .msi from the temp program data as the LauncherPrereqSetup_x64.exe was running and ran that, still nothing.
Included are my dxdiag and log file from LauncherPrereqSetup_x64.exe.
