Creating a short "blinking" effect on the player when he is hit

Hi guys,

I am trying to create a short 0.1 second blinking effect when the player gets hit by changing the material.

I am using the following BPs:

And I call the event here:

Any help would be appreciated!

Also check out timelines, you could probably create this effect into a single timeline to make it cleaner and more usable.

If I did this with a timeline, how would I change the material and then change it back within a certain time-span?

create 2 event tracks in one timeline an have them switch between activation so when it triggers you have it hooked up to play from beginning and that should work.
