Problems with .fbx export/import

I need to import a couple of characters. Both are already rigged and animated. When I try to import the base mesh of the first character, everything seems right, and it works. But when I try to import the second character, the import window is different and doesn’t let me import the mesh. I’m using Maya2018 and rigged with advanced skeleton 5.

What could I be doing wrong?

I exported again the model that worked and when I imported it again to UE4 shows the same problem, But when import the old .fbx file from the same model, it works fine. Looks like it has something to do with the export settings from maya. The problem is that for some reason I can´t replicate what I’ve done with the first model.

Did you try toggling the “Skeletal Mesh” box in the second attempt?

I tried that, but it doesn’t import as the first attempt. It displays other properties and for some reason it imports the mesh without the rig.

I tried disabling some properties on the export process in maya, and by only leaving smooth groups and triangulate enabled, it seems to work!
