Cannot map Oculus Remote to HMD Locomotion Pawn

Hello!

I’m having a real issue trying to have my Oculus Remote work as an input to the Perform Teleportation action in the HMD Locomotion Pawn Blueprint (Blueprint is pretty much as found in the VR Template for UE4).

I am using 4.19 and my Oculus Rift is a CV1 - Non Touch.

It works perfectly when mapped to a keyboard (i.e “Space”) key.

Weirdly, its also not recognising the Xbox remote (which was working previously, so I’m worried that me messing around with the oculus files to fix the remote issue has disconnected some important code…

The reason I want to use the remote rather than the xbox controllor is really just one of UX- We are preparing these VR’s for use in a luxury real estate setting so want to get away from the “gaming” vibe!

I’ve looked at the answer to this : https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/411034/oculus-remote-enter-no-responsehow-can-i-make-it-e.html but I fear that my fumbled attempts to follow the instructions have actually just casued more issues!

Any help would be massively appreciated (if you could word your answers as though you are talking to a partially trained chimp, that would be even better!)
