Skylight error in level streaming

Hi , is there an issue where putting a skylight in a level streaming volume and not the persistant causes it to not work? Ive read something about actors not ticking when level streamed and have that at times in my own project. The question is does the skylight need skme sort of under the hood ticking, and wouod level streaming disable it?

I have a streaming level with some very black shadows, and cant work out why.

Doing some research, i saw something about ambient cubemap issues? To quote that question “that the environment map I was using was from engine content and thus was not being cooked into the project. Copying that to the project and referencing that instead fixed the issue”
Would anyone be able to expalain what that means? Does enviroment map mean the ambient cubemap? We have a showstopper issue in that there are some very dark shadows
