Mars 2030 Mod Crashing

Hi! I have bought the Mars 2030 on Steam, downloaded the new Mars 2030 Editor mod. Also installed 4.14.3 version of the engine just to be sure.

Launching the Mars 2030 Editor from the Modding section on the Launcher crashes. The game plays ok but I wanted to work with the mod. Any ideas? Thanks! --Todd

Hello Todd,

Not seeing a crash on my end.

On the Mars 2030 mod page: Try clicking the gear icon next to “Launch” and selecting “Verify”

You might not have the debugging symbols, but can you post the crash long anyways?

Thanks,

Hi again. I un-installed then re-installed the mod. Re-ran verify. Same crash behavior. Gets to 95-96% then crashes. I can try to install the debug symbols but I’m not familiar with that.

Attached is a zipped folder of the latest crash.

Also, this is a Windows 10 Pro box and I have other versions of UnrealEngine (4.14.3, 4.17.2, 4.18.3, and 4.19.1) installed. Visual Studio 2017 installed. I regularly build and deploy to GearVR. Oculus Rift and Oculus Home work okay. I play RoboRecall a lot

One more thing (!). I have Unreal Studio Beta installed too.

Hi! From an issue I had at work, I tried the following and it worked. Un-installed SQL Server 2017 and all Visual Studio Community programs. Re-download and Verify the mod. Re-start computer. It worked! I can now open the Project.

Gotta love VS related software to jack up a mod. Thanks for the suggestions! --Todd

Thanks for following up!
