Why did UE4 start running very slowly on my laptop

The other day Ue4 started running very slowly no matter what I have open. When I set everything to the lowest settings it runs worse than it was at the max settings a couple days ago when everything was fine.

It seems like it started happening after I installed the trial for Photoshop, but I do not think that that is doing anything.

My laptop is a Lenovo y50 touch
i7-4700 2.4ghz
8gb ddr3
gtx 860m

The only thing I can think of is that Nvidia optimus is being a little *******.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Jay Turns -

I would suggest that you go into your Nvidia Control Panel and see if Unreal Engine is set to only use the Nvidia High Performance card and not the integrated graphics card. When you installed another program it might have bumped this setting in the control panel. Also the newest version of Photoshop does use a pretty heavy graphics processing system if enabled, so you might want to make sure that it is not running at the same time.

Thank You

I forgot to post that I got it working. I reinstalled the nvidia drivers since it seemed like the control panel was corrupted or something, it would not even open(or show that it was even installed) the day I reinstalled the drivers. Everything is good now.
