UE 4.19 Lighting build failed

Hi all

I have just downloaded and installed UE 4.19.0 via the launcher app so I can start to learn how to use the engine.
I have never used it before therefore I have watched some of the tutorials and a few on the basics via youtube.

The problem I have is that every single basic project comes up with the lighting build failed error.
I have not changed a single a single thing.

I know it’s not my system.

Graphics card has both pixel and vertex shader 5.1, with 4GB Video Ram.

six core processor with a speed of 3.3 GHz,
16GB ram,
and over 92GB of free space on the install HD.

looking around the net it seems this is a common problem but no-one has come up with a complete once and for all fix.
they talk about swarm agent, but from what I understand this is if the software is running on a network, which I am not, is just a straightforward standalone machine.
Others mentioned about enabling Force no precomputed lighting ( tried this, didn’t work )

Therefore completely frustrated at not being able to get past a ’ simple basic ’ map build.
