dynamically make the skin on a character to blush or become pale?

Is there a way to dynamically make the skin on a character to blush or become pale? How would you go about it?

You can apply blush in to material and control it with material parameter:

You can either modify coloring of face or blend extra texture to face, there full freedom how to do it.

With cartoon anime characters you can make plane with blush and bone it and then just animate it, it quite common with Miku Miku Dance models commonly used in VRChat for example.

Thank you @anonymous_user_f5a50610! The character is photorealistic fbx, and the skin material has multiple texture maps. I will look into the links that you kindly shared and go from there. I will report back if Iā€™m stuck or to share my progress.
