Landscape Invisible When Unselected Issue

Hi,

So I’ve been working on a landscape for a while, and after an autosave my landscape became transparent when unselected. I hadn’t touched anything landscape related for a few hours beforehand, so this was very unexpected.

I assigned a default material and this still continues. I also have another landscape next to the broken one, which doesn’t have this issue.

I received an error when playing, however since restarting this error no longer appears. (This image is from another thread, I have seen a couple of threads on this issue but no working solutions)

Aswell as using the a defualt world grid material, I have also tried removing all foliage, and this persists.

I really have no idea what caused this and would really appreciate any advice, thanks.

Think I found a fix

  • Select Landscape Tab
  • Select Manage
  • From drop down list of tools, select “Change Component Size”
  • Click APPLY (I did not change any settings)
  • After landscape is rebuilt it seemed to fix the issue

Before I discovered the above, I tried modifying my landscape material so shaders would be rebuilt; but no luck.

Hope this helps a few people

YES!!! THANK YOU!!! I’ve been looking around trying to find out the fix for this issue! I didn’t know what I pressed, but couldn’t recreate. Anyhoo, thanks again for this, saved me from having to create a new level!!

this method works even in ue 5.3?
