Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

I cannot import meshes with 0 polygons for mobile foliage LOD

Hi all, An Epic Games Member announced (somewhere in the forum) the platform dependent minimum LOD override for ue4.20 (which they used for fortnite on mobile devices)

So I thought I can use this to turn off grass by having an LOD with 0 polygons and use this as minimum LOD for mobile devices because the two sided grass foliage looks pretty bad on mobile devices and also causes low fps.

My Issue: I get an error when I want to import a static mesh with 0 polygons. I have several foliage types (trees, flowers, etc.) which I want to keep so I want to disable only 1 foliage type for mobile devices. Is there a way to import LODs with 0 tris or is there any other way to disable 1 special foliage type for mobile devices?

I use Blender btw.
