Epic Games Launcher is agonizingly slow and has no visual indication of what it's doing

The title says it all. When I launch Epic Games Launcher, it is painfully slow to open. It doesn’t seem to be doing
anything for long stretches of time.

Your UI needs some serious work on giving information on what it is doing. Remember what we used to say about internet sites: It needs to be doing something immediately. The Epic Games Launcher does not respect that in the most remote fashion, far as I can tell.

Don’t ask me if it was updating. Or what it was doing. I couldn’t tell. I just had a vague spinning bar at the bottom, and nothing else. Then I get options for product to browse, but clicking them does nothing apparent. Etc. That’s where I’m at. I can’t tell if it was updating, because it doesn’t tell me. I can’t tell if it’s just slow loading my projects, because it doesn’t tell me.

Please fix. It’s stupid being in the dark for this.

I concur, the launcher is quite slow, although i have the epic editor launch on my desktop page

Same, mine just opens but I can’t access the store, profile or such.

You don’t need to use laucher, you can open editor from exe and it has it’s own project manager which UI is faster

After two years from the creation of this topic, is still so slow…

Wish it was faster!

Wish the launcher, especially the UE tags, would be more user friendly…
Vaupt sitting Oppositionspolitiker… Options to delete vault stuff permanent… filtering for engine versions (additional to filters for marketplace categories)… And indicators if stuff is already installiert in all available engines or not…

The whole launcher is a mess and not on the standard for 2022… I think not even for 2010…

Yeah and what annoys me the most is the 50 limit on wishlist. Just why!?
