Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Help identifying a Material Function?

Hey guys!

I'm pretty new hat at this and still feeling out the logic in the Material Editor!

I was taking a peek at this video for creating a candle flame, and I liked the method the OP is using. However at around 0:32 there's a material function titled Vutil_remap (input two V2 and one Scalar) which I can't seem to figure out. I'm assuming it's remapping the V coordinate within an inputted range but I can't figure out the logic that would exist within the function itself.

If anyone has any guesses or ideas as to what is hidden behind this enigmatic material function I'd appreciate the help! Thanks so much in advance :) alt text
