Unable to use Clion in 4.19

HI All,

Forgive another thread being created on this matter, I’ve read through all and none seem to be related.

I’m about to dive into Unreal and really love my CLion IDE so I want to use this over Visual Studio.

4.19 from my understanding has the CLion integration plugin installed and should work “out the box” but I’m not getting any options to use CLion, searching the project settings as well as the drop down. Even though searching the plugins it is switched on.

I can load the project up directly from opening the folder but I don’t get any Unreal SDK definitions.

Has someone got this working? May I ask the workflow please.

Coming into Unreal its a bit clunky as there are so many versions and so many different workflows!

As a Newb - is there a better version to learn in?

Thank all

I am facing the same problem. Could you solve it?

Take a look at this page: https://blog.jetbrains.com/clion/2016/10/clion-and-ue4/

At the top there is this comment:

Upd This post is valid for UE4 v4.18 and less. v4.19 has an integration in UBT to generated CMake out of it directly, but not all the PRs have been accepted for now, so it’s currently broken. When the things work, we’ll update the post. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It’s not completely clear if this means that just some new feature is broken, or if CLion just isn’t compatible with 4.19 at the moment. Might be worth contacting JetBrains to see if their support can help.
