Viewport right mouse button look around not working

I’m using a usb jumbo mouse plug-in over my laptop’s touch pad mouse because I can’t open my hand. The UE4 instructions for looking around in viewport show holding the right mouse button and dragging the mouse to look around. This does not work for me. Holding the left mouse button and dragging does work. The right mouse button does work however for right-click menus so the button isn’t faulty.

I’m using UE version 4.3.1 on Windows 8.1
Here’s the type of mouse I use.

Where I bought it.

The manufacturer.

Hi TheSkeletonGod,

Thank you for your patience. I have looked into the issue and have spoken with our input developer. We do not officially support the device, but anything that can work with XInput can work with the editor. Do you know if it identifies as a touchpad by any ? That may cause some issues with detection. Does right-click work in orthographic views for dragging? Any additional information may help.

Cheers,

The device identifies as an HID-compliant-mouse

Right click does not work in any of the orthographic views for dragging. Is there some way I can change the controls to use something other than the right mouse button to pan the view or look around?

Unfortunately there is not a way to remap the bindings of the viewport’s rotation, only movement. I have informed our developers of this issue and let them know that users want to be able to remap from the right-mouse to something else. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you.
