Launching a game using Unreal Engine makes my screen dark.
Hello, there. I apologize if I'm on the wrong forum. But, I've been trying to look up a problem that I've encountered while playing games that use Unreal Engine. I haven't found anything relating to my issue. So, hopefully I'll get some help here.
I own some games that use Unreal Engine, one that I can name off pretty quickly is Killer is Dead. Which uses Unreal Engine 3. Upon launching the game for the first time (the game was free on Humble Bundle back in November of 2017 and I was told by a friend to play it) I noticed that it was locked at 30 fps and needed some tweaking. So, I alt-tabbed and instantly noticed that my screen had become darker than it usually was. This had never happened with any other game I'd owned. It was specifically any game that used Unreal Engine that I'd launched for the first time. This also happened with Borderlands 2 (off of a friend's library) and Sanctum 2 (was free on Humble Bundle back in November as well). After it happened with both games, I was forced to restart my computer entirely in order to restore my screen back to normal. Unfortunately, I didn't think of screenshotting my entire desktop as I thought it wouldn't do anything in my favor. So, instead. I took pictures with my phone. And, there's a pretty big difference.

As you can see, my screen becomes dark and contrasted after I alt-tabbed. Again, I don't know what causes this and I was forced to restart to restore my screen back to normal. If anyone knows what happened. I would greatly appreciate an explanation.
Thanks for any info in advance.
