Following large Windows 10 patch launcher fails

Had a large Windows 10 update overnight. Now neither the launcher or Unreal starts. Both just hang. HELPPPPPPPPP!!!

Thanks

Ray

Correction: Version 4.16

try updating your graphics drivers
I had issues with that after the latest windows feature update

I work on Windows 10 and from my experience this is most stable Windows. I know different opinions, but I never had problems nor BSOD on W10. Also any problems with Epic Launcher. Editor crashes something but this is other problem and not system connected. I have all drivers updated but even when I had old GPU with no more supported drivers I had no problems with Launcher nor overall PC stability issues. I think problem can be with drivers errors, not good matched hardware or HD problems. Wide question.

Hello,

The most simplistic approach which you may have already tried is a complete reinstall of the Epic Games Launcher. Try that before uninstalling the Engine. I also think that there is a repair option within the launcher once you are in to verify the Engine files and do a quick rebuild to get yourself back into your engine version.

Good luck.

Wait patch hotfix. No joke.

Thanks all - I will try all!

Got the launcher working by changing the nvidia settings from auto-detect to integrated. Now the editor crashes on start-up and tried all video settings. Log sent automatically

patch hotfix - for real!?!? Been working on this game for months and now I can’t continue?!?! FFS

Rolled back the Windows update. Now all is good. But when I do need to update Windows…

So I now have to most up to date Nvidia drivers on the planet. No joy. As I said earlier - all was fine until the Windows 10 patch.

Thanks to all for advice but…Any more ideas please?
