Confusion On Sweeping Set Location With Timeline Usage

I have an object - a “rolling wheel” - that I intend to have move from one end of the map to the other and rotate as it does so, with a sweep on the Set Location node to stop it once it impacts something. All this is scripted and works fine.

My problem is in tweaking the Timeline that governs the movement of the wheel, such that the pace of the “roll” the player sees it making feels realistic. I know the value I’ve set in the Timeline is high enough for it to reach the part of the map it is supposed to before stopping, but found the Time I had set to have the wheel “rolling” to that place faster than felt right.

The simple solution to me seemed to be to simply set the Time amount higher: the longer it had to reach the Value amount I set, the slower it would appear to be as the Timeline completed its function once activated. In practice, however, increasing the Time causes the wheel to not travel as far, almost as if I had decreased the Value rather than increase the Time; the higher I set the Time, the shorter the distance I found it would travel. I’m unsure what triggers this phenomenon and how to correct it, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Dysphoric,

Could you provide me with a image of your full blueprint and settings? Or if you’d like you could provide the project so I could take a better look at whats going on.

We have not heard back from you in a few days, so we are marking this post as Resolved for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing the issue you reported, please respond to this message with additional information and we will follow up.

Sorry, didn’t realize I’d received your comment on this actually. I’d be happy to provide the project itself, but haven’t done something like that before. What is the preferred way I should go about doing that?

You can upload the entire project to google drive or dropbox and provide a shareable link. Once I have that I can take a further look into the issue.

Above is the link to the project on my Dropbox. Thank you for taking the time to look into this, it means a lot.

I apologize for the delayed response to this. In order for me to look at the project you need to zip up the entire project folder and then upload it to Dropbox. I cannot troubleshoot this issue with only the uproject file.
