Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

VR Preview Lags every 5 seconds

I am developing a mobile VR game and recently I started noticing the VR Preview lag every 5 secs. I used gpu profiler to find if it is a problem with my system but everything was green there. It's about a 0.5 sec lag every 5 seconds, and it doesn't matter how heavy load my system is under the lag is still there.

I did some digging and found that the editor tries to do some operation using ADB every 5 secs causing the lag, and the solution is to rename or delete adb.exe ... I need that executable for other things so I cant delete/ hide it, also I can't deploy my game to android without it.

Is there any other work around for this? It makes it very hard to test in VR to have stuttering every 5 seconds.

I have the exact same problem on vive.

I checked in afterburner: every 90s my GPU usage drops severly, and each time it has a matching "freeze", what is weird is how regular it: Image

So far I: - Reinstalled SteamVR - Removed my CPU/GPU overclocks - Updated GPU Drivers - Switched the game from a 5400rpm HDD to a 7200 - Reset all my Supersampling options - Tought it was the cells loading so I set the uLargeRefLODGridSize back to 5 (was at 9 for some reason)

Nothing had an effect.

CPU/GPU temperatures are more than acceptable, no thermal throttling. I don't really know what to try next, other than trying to disable mods one by one and see if it has an effect : Bluestacks TextNow Photomath

It's definitely some process in the background running and ruining the performance, in my case I think it's ue4 trying to do some adb shenanigans but can't work out how to disable it ...

I have found the issue,

It was Malwarebytes Ransomware protection that was causing this lag every 5 seconds while in VR Preview.

Disabling this completely eliminated the issue.

0 I have 25gb of RAM on my PC and its barely 50% full, so definitely not RAM issue. It also only happens when I click VR Preview, when working within editor there are no lags ...
