Volume Material Distance Limitation?

Hello, I am trying to make some volume based mist and fog for my mountains and swaps etc. I created a volume material and applied it to a mesh. It looks as intended when very close to it, but when I move away, it disappears. Is there a setting I need to change to allow it to be seen at a distance?

Looks like there was a setting in exponential height fog for volumetric fog view distance that did the trick. I didn’t realize that a volume material relies on exponential height fog to render. Just another one of those things that one learns when digging around in the editor.
