Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Huge apk file size

Hi, I build a simple game to test things for android. All I'm using inside the project is a rock and a material from "Mobile Temple" project and flying BP. Starter content was not included the project also. When deploy it to to phone, it was 76mb. When I build a apk, total size of the build with obb files was 235 mb.

Am I doing something wrong, file size should not be this huge. A proper android game's file size would be almost 1gb or so..

Same here and I found no real solution. Seems unreal Engine 4 is too heavy for small file sizes........ Seems to be no solution to that. In this case its useless nobody downloads such an big apk....and more problems are waiting on the store to publish the game with such huge files...........

Is unity 3d the better way????Has anybody experience with file sizes in unity3 ??

Specially material sizes are too big. Of course UE4 has more quality. But you can create smaller packages with the engine you mentioned. Since there is no solution for UE4 and obb (UE4 can create obb but in store it is not working or least lots of people can't do it but there is not any help from staff as I see) it looks better idea to use the engine you mentioned.
