360 video is black in media player

Hi I’ve imported a 360 video on Unreal, these are its specs :
Codec : H264
Frame Rate 29.97 fps
Frame Rate Range 29.97 - 29.97 fps
Dimensions 4096x2048

Unfortunately when I hit play in the media player I can’t see the video but just a black screen although I can hear the audio.

Is it a codec problem or should I something in particular to have that working?

Also, this is meant to work in VR, what kind of codec would you recommend instead?

Thank you for your help!

I used a framerate of 25 in most of my videos and this worked. Most of the time I use mp4 containers but movs do also work.

Most of the time I test with different settings until everything works but I did not find the holy grail.
Do you want it on mobile or on a pc? What are your Bitrate settings?

How is your script setup to play the video?

Pc, we are using vive for that.

Currently I’ve got that working but re-exporting it on premier. Video bitrate is 11448 kpbs, 29 fps , and data rate is 11127 kbps.

I’ve got a level blueprint that opens the player as the game starts!

Thanks for your help!

I also ran into this while trying to setup a simple 360 Video Player. Anyone learn anything new about what settings work/don’t work?
