Melee Collision for VR

Does anyone know how Robo Recall handles their melee collision? I am trying to keep melee weapons from clipping through other actors. I can turn on simulate physics which keeps actors from clipping, but the hit object will always move out of the motion controllers way. I cant seem to create an object that wont allow the motion controller to pass through it while being unmovable or at least appear unmovable… Apparently the player is a unstoppable force.

I have been digging through the robo Recall blueprints trying to find an example of how they are handling it, but to no success.

I don’t really understand it very well myself but the “vr expansion plugin” template has an example of that behavior in it.
