Laptop Question (Graphic Card)

So I have a PC that is good enough for Unreal (Hobbie). But I travel a lot for Work and I am in the market for an Laptop that can run Unreal and Maya. The only one downside, I also own a Wacom Tablet that use to Draw too. So the problem is I need a Laptop with Touchscreen, and is still able to pull Unreal/Maya. The only 2-1 that I am seeing are the Surface Book with a GTX 1050/1060. I do see The Yoga, but the max it has is a GTX 1050. I know the min requirement for Unreal is the GTX 470, but I don’t want somthing that can barely run Unreal, I want something that can Run it Okay/Good. Would a 1050 or 1060 be good? or am I out of luck and I need to just get a gaming laptop with a 1070/1080 and end up carrying both my Wacom and the Laptop (which is the reason I am looking for a Laptop that is 2-1)

Example of some laptop Im thinking

Lenovo - Yoga 720

Asus - 2-in-1 15.6" 4K Ultra HD Touch-Screen

otherwise Im’s thinking the surface book 2 with gtx 1060

So I need 1050 ti or higher than?

I use a 7th gen Pentium dual core processor 3.5 gigahertz with hyper threading, which makes baking lights in compiling shaders a lengthy process but it still works. I have 8GB of ddr4 running at 2400 megahertz. I’m using the NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI with 4GB ddr5 vram. It’s definitely not the best setup in the world but I can run ue4 just fine if you exclude the sometimes long waits for compiling things.

No, a 1050 or 1060 would work fine, that’s just what I have. I’m pretty sure the 1060 is on par with the 1050 time except it has 1gb less vram.

a 1060 is better than the 1050 ti in every way.

what you have to keep in mind though is that the question asker is looking at laptops which use mobile versions which are far less powerful. you will probably be able to get ue4 for work on a laptop but the experience wont be nearly as good as if you were on a desktop.

it really comes down to what your looking to create. realistic scenes will require more power to build than a low poly one.

heres a link to a forum post where they talk about laptops.
