Minimum light level

Hi

Can anyone tell me how I can create a minimum brightness on my level? I have one directional light for the whole level, but I want to be able to adjust the “Global” lighting, so the parts that are not facing the directional light will have a uniform brightness that I can adjust so they aren’t just black from lack of light.

I know you can do this with skylight, but I don’t want to take the performance hit it seems to give me as this is for a VR project. The other option I have seen is using a post process ambient cubemap, but this does not seem to work.

I dont want to go through each of my models and add emissive to each if it can be avoided.

Any ideas? Thanks

Step 1. Try 100 solutions

Step 2. Fail

Step 3. Ask on unreal answers

Step 4. Figure it out a few seconds later

I used Enviromental intensity in the world settings of the level then rebuilt the lighting…
