Can I convert my 4.4 project back to 4.3?

Hello.
Is there a way to downgrade project ? (For example project is done in 4.4 and I would like to have it in my 4.3 - which works better work me)
I saw that someone asked about this here but it was few months ago.
Maybe now someone will have solution.

Hi wiNt,

I’m sorry, forwards-compatibility isn’t fully supported. The full 4.4 version will be releasing soon though and may work better for you than the 4.4 preview release. That being said, you can attempt to convert your project back to 4.3.1 but we can’t guarantee that you won’t experience any issues.

For future reference, the next time you convert your project I would suggest choosing the ‘Create a Copy’ option instead of ‘Convert In Place’. This will leave the previous version of your project untouched just in case something would get corrupted or you wanted to go back.

I am going to put a Feature Request in for a warning pop-up to be added when choosing the ‘Convert In Place’ option.

This is a bit of work but the beat way I can figure to do it is, to open the 4.3 and 4.4 in two different editors at the same time migrate all assets then copy and past from the scene outliner from 4.4 to 4.3. it may be a bit buggy but it worked for me.
