After importing model to unreal with datasmith, I found I couldn’t modify the material of model like I was used to with other models. (I selected the model, and double clicked the static mesh button, in the preview window I could change the material, but it didn’t affect the object in the scene??
Did you find a work around or solution for this?
I have found that disabling displacement and tessellation of materials allows me to change materials of geometry imported with datasmith - must be a bug
oh okay, I’ll try that. What I did was to directly change the mesh in the asset folder
same thing for me,
and I just got fobbed off to the reports page.
It’s still occurring, and I’m no wiser as to why.
