Errors when using several tools from the ART interface

Hi,
I’ve got some issues with ART (Animation and Riggign Toolkit) when using a custom mesh with Maya 2014 and 2015.
First of all, everything seem to work when using only the default mannequin.
But when I’m trying to rigg a custom mesh, I’ve got several errors. For exemple :

  • If I edit my rigg file, and if I try to switch between the rig pose and the model pose, it doesn’t work and I got an error message like this ( I don’t have this issue in the export file ) :
    Error: RuntimeError: file C:/Program Files/Unreal Engine/4.3/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/Scripts\ART_skeletonBuilder_UI.py line 6631: setAttr: The attribute ‘root.translateX’ is locked or connected and cannot be modified.

  • Also, if I add the character animation, and if I try to hit the “zero out all” button, again it’s not working and I got this message :
    Error: RuntimeError: file C:/Program Files/Unreal Engine/4.3/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/Scripts\ART_animationUI.py line 5079: setAttr: No object matches name: :Rig_Settings.lFkArmOrient

  • If I’m trying to hit the space switcher button, I got this :
    Error: ValueError: file C:/Program Files/Unreal Engine/4.3/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/Scripts\ART_spaceSwitcher.py line 70: No object matches name: :*_space_switcher_follow

  • If I’m trying to switch between IK and FK, I got this message :
    Error: ValueError: file C:/Program Files/Unreal Engine/4.3/Engine/Extras/Maya_AnimationRiggingTools/MayaTools/General/Scripts\ART_animationUI.py line 6272: No object matches name: :ik_upperarm_fk_matcher_l

Hey Guedin -

Have you gotten the most up to date version of the toolset from the dropbox? Also there are some known issues with working in Maya 2015 as the ART is currently not fully supported in that release.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes I used the last toolset from dropbox ( I downloaded it the 8th of august ) and I got all the issues I mentionned in both Maya 2015 and 2014.
Also I would like to add that initally I was always saving my files in the same project, but today I did a new try but this time creating a new project, and this time everything is working perfectly.
It seems like my project folder as been corrupted or somewhat

Hello, are ART tools discontinued or is there another reason why this is unresolved still? I get these errors quite often too. I understand that it’s to do with that naming search breaks when drive address changes or something similar.
