Muffing audio

hello guys. new to this site. Just wanted to know how to implement some sort of audio " muffing" when character takes damage, or when near explosion. Please help. :-/

that sounds kind of like a high pass or low pass filter (dampens sound waves above or below certain frequencies)

If youre taliing about the ringing in your ears thats a different thing that is just another sound effect played over the others.

To affect ALL sound effects at once which is what you need to do, I dont know how to do that yet.
