Character animation teleports the character a few steps backwards

i used mixamo animations for a character , every time i run the player teleports itself backward (a few steps , i m able to move forward but it doesnt looks clean at all)jst like in animation peview where when animation ends character starts again from start position.

Is the animation set to “in place” ?

Are you using Root Motion?

this fixed the problem , but is there any way u can set animation to “in place” while inside unreal engine?
