Launch button opens "Level editor" instead of "Launch Browser"

When I first open the Epic Games app, I usually like to click the yellow “Launch” button to open up the “Launch Browser” and then choose my project from there. But recently, every time i click launch, it just takes me to a blank level editor.

I’ve tried resetting my Maps & Modes settings already.

My other option was to just go to my projects by clicking the thumb nails in the “My Projects” section when you first open the app, but I always get an error message saying that the project is un-associated or something like that. I feel maybe I am saving my project incorrectly.
If you hadn’t guessed by now, I’m pretty new to using Unreal Engine (About 4 days). So I haven’t created anything AMAZING yet but I want to make sure I understand all the saving and uploading routines in case I create something I want to keep.

Can anyone please give me the run down how to save projects to the “My Projects” section in the Epic Games Launcher? Seems simple enough but I only see options to save “Levels” and not “Projects”.
Also why does the “Launch” button always send me directly to a blank level editor instead of giving me the option to choose one of my projects I’ve already been working on? This may have something to do with the Maps and Modes settings but I am unsure.

Any information will be appreciated!!

I think your installation of Windows has not associated .uproject files with the Unreal Engine. There’s a video in this thread that might help you out; some people with a similar issue. I normally launch my projects through the “my projects” section you talked about.
