Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

.generated.h not found but it exists

Hi everyone.

Yes yet another .generated.h question. I have just switched to 4.20 from 4.19.2 and Visual Studio says that it can't find the .generated.h files even though they exist. It compiles find and I have deleted the .vs, Binaries, Intermediate and Saved folders and done a complete rebuild several times, but it hasn't fixed the issue.

It wouldn't bother me except there is a huge list of them in the Error List and it is hard to see actual errors from my code. The errors are occurring all throughout the game engine code as well as mine.

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, it's a known issue in 4.20: https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-62042 A "workaround" is to use Visual Assist by Whole Tomato.
