How to use a multicolor image file to mask out different textures onto a landscape

I want to create multiple fields on my landscape with different textures. Instead of using several different RGB image files (or grey scale files) to create the masks, I want to create one single image file (in GIMP/photoshop) with several dozen different colors defining the field locations/sizes/shapes, which will then feed into the specific textures i want to display on the landscape. This can be done in World Machine using the “select color” tool selector but I cannot find a way to do this in UE4.
