Help with animation retargeting

Hey there guys, I have been using unreal engine for a couple weeks now and have run into some problems with animation retargeting. I have some animations from mixamo that I have in unreal for a character and they work fine with him. However, when I retarget them to a new character, everything goes good besides the fingers. I’ve included a picture of what the hands look like currently. I believe this is due to them both having 4 finger joints instead of the 3 that are available when using the humanoid rig. I have tried using the “Recursively Set Translation Retargeting Skeleton” For both skeletons, then doing the retarget again, but this does nothing. Any suggestions?

I am using unreal 4.20.1 on MacOS 10.13.6 High Sierra. Thanks in advance!
