The VR Template Hands are not Teleporting or Grabbing

I am using an HTC Vive. The controls work perfectly fine in the templates test level but when I try it in my own level, the teleportation and grabbing do not work at all. Clicking the touchpad or the trigger does not do anything. I can still see the hands and move my head and move the hands though. The way I set it up is I placed a motion controller pawn (auto possed player set to 0) and also placed a nav volume in the scene. The gamemode is at default. Any idea on why it is not working?

I have this problem aswell. I checked auto possess, navmesh and collisions.

Hey, I figured out the solution. The inputs aren’t mapped properly. The fix is pretty simple. Watch this video from minute 11:20 and follow along. Your First VR App Using Unreal Engine (UE4) - YouTube

I figured it out too! My inputs were correct (I was building onto the template project). Oculus Rift refuses to work unless I put on the hmd properly AND both controllers. I was trying to teleport while holding the hmd with one hand and the controller in the other. I can’t understand how this problem caused me 2 or 3 hours in my life but now I know all the main problems all too well

Hello, I had this issue quite often these last weeks and I found a simple fix in some situations : when I press play and the VR preview window opens, I put the HMD on, and I noticed recently that once the HMD is on, in some cases the unreal editor window is getting back on top of the VR preview. A simple ALT+TAB on the vr preview window got the hand grabbing functionnal again. Hope this helps someone.

Another big reason Touch (and presumably Wands) don’t react (buttons,Grip,Teleport etc) is that windows will sometimes switch back to the main editor as you put on the HMD , you just need to Alt-Tab so the VRPreview is the focus (in the foreground),. This one used to trip me up a lot!.
