Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Sphere rolling collision issues on flat mesh after upgrade

Something in the engine has changed somewhere when upgrading from 4.19 to 4.20. It might be an engine code thing or something else entirely. Not sure if it should be considered a bug.

It's a game breaker for me and I'm not sure how to fix it. My only option right now is to stay in 4.19 where the issue does not reside.

Issue: CCD is turned on for a perfect sphere (UE sphere with UE sphere collision) and it is classified as a physics actor. When the sphere rolls passed an edge of a perfectly flat mesh it often skips upward or stops entirely after hitting an invisible wall.

I want to reiterate that this issue was not occurring in 4.19 and the spheres and meshes seem to all have the same settings as before.

Thanks for any help.

Product Version: UE 4.20

Are the ends of your mesh capped or uncapped?
